Kudos to Arlene! We are two moms working hard to make certain that our families do not continue to suffer because of this catasrophic economy. We live in Michigan and there are so many families now suffering extreme financial hardship. So many of these are educated, hardworking people, who have done absolutely nothing to bring this upon themselves.
We come from a family of builders. Due to job loss in the residential construction industry, our husbands have gone back to school. We never imagined that we would be in this situation. After 17 years as successful builders, they are now starting at square one on a completely new career path as registered nurses. Our families have suffered extreme financial losses. Hats off to Arlene Battishill - most of us spend too much time worrying, but little time doing something about it. If you have the desire to succeed and the guts to do whatever it takes to get there - there is no reason to be afraid of downturns. Downturns are only there to scare those with a weak heart.
